When it comes to academia, professors and teachers all over the
world have many different strategies to sculpt the minds of young students. A
teacher has free range to create a course syllabus and a class schedule that
will be not only fun for the students but also will make them retain the most
information. This can vary from note taking all the way to pop quizzes and exams.
Some teachers like to critique other teachers teaching styles, saying that
there style is the best. What it all really comes down to is the student. They
are the ones that need to understand the information. The teachers obviously
already understand the information so why are they teaching it in the way that
is the easiest for them? Teachers should be teaching the way that the students
want to learn in. One very helpful way of earning that you have employed is
writing blogs, or “blogging”. Throughout all of my schooling I have always had
to sit behind a desk, copy notes, and study my ass off for a test over things
that I will forget right after the test is over. Tests also stress a lot of
students out. We are so worried about passing this test that it can really
damage people’s moods and will not make it fun for people to learn. You learn
more when you are stress free and that is exactly why the blogging method
works. You do not have to worry about cramming and studying information for a
test. You can sit down in quiet safe stress free place, and type your blog.
When typing a blog it requires you to do research as you go. This helps you
learn because you are constantly receiving new information. Also, it is your
blog! You can write whatever you want. You are basically writing your own
tests. When it all comes down to it yes. I think blogging is an effective tool
in the learning process!
